anyone have heard about (or worked with) this
17" XPC-1710A LCD Monitor
from P-Active ?
SXGA (1280X1024), 2000Lpi, 1024 Levels of pressure,
if it's a wacom technology inside, it looks cool ...!
(btw, 875,00 EUR on e-bay, ... larger and cheaper than the the cintiq 12wx)

never heard of it, but surely is intriguing.
if it is Wacom inside it might a be damn good alternative to cintiq, and worth that money. On paper it looks good. I guess that what needed are review of build quality.
You might be on to something very sweet.
keep us posted Zig.

it seems to exist in 2 sizes : 17" and 15" .

I'm waiting for a solid test/review made by a professional (in CG field),
a comparison review
P-Active's XPC vs
Wacom's Cintiq would be perfect.
edit: unfortunately, to my question : "
... Wacom technology inside? ",
I got from them a negative answer, and it was easy to guess that,
because 1) the relative low price, 2) the pen, requiring an embeded battery.
too bad ...
