Re: Bought TVP12 at launch, but still use TVP11
I'm in the same boat, I was quite exited about TVP12 but the overall performance impact and layer folder transparency issue has me sticking with V11, The much needed camera layer is great though! What perplexes me is the 2D bones feature, It feels like something will continually be beaten by other s...

Re: Storyboarding workflow improvements
Everybody works differently, so for me Storyboard Pro relies too much on copying and pasting. Making revisions to multiple panels is a nightmare. Layer movement over multiple panels is so unintuitive. Light table options are harder to use in SBPro. It all feels very clunky. I much prefer TVPaint, i...

Storyboarding workflow improvements
I had to use Toon boom Storyboard pro recently for a job and I have to say that while initially it is a little confusing, the workflow improvement compared to TV Paint's storyboard feature is night and day. Being able to quickly change camera movements between scenes and the flexibility of having la...

Re: TVP12 Light table slower performance [TVPA-3304]
I recently upgraded my ram and I don't really feel a change, it is still just as sluggish compared to V11

Re: 2K, 4K, 8K - what size are you working in?
1440p output is where I am standing right now. I'm not sure that its worth it for me to go to 4K yet because of how much disk space projects will take up and the slow down in compositing performance.

Can I use v11 due to v12 instability?
Hello I'm having too much trouble with the stability of TVP12. Simply resizing the window can cause a total lock up of the software.
Would it be possible to use my v12 upgrade license to allow me to use v11?

Re: Dear community, help me understand this upgrade?
I feel the focus could be more to streamline the existing tools to facilitate 2D animators. So it would make it really worth for them to upgrade to v12 To improve the UI and UX of all the tools we already have. This is such a good list, I'd love for some kind of master wishlist that we're all votin...

Re: [TVP12] Folder opacity On invidual layers / Restriction image&sound Starts on Clip
I want to also add that the opacity behavior is also counter intuitive to me as well. It feels more like a bug than a feature right now.

Re: 3 dots take up too much space
I mentioned this issue in a post on the technical issues section of the forum and it seems to have a bug tracking label on it, I hope they address this.

Re: 12.0.1 undocked panels focus issue
To be quite honest, all I want to be able to do is simply undock my timeline without having to mess with these new window features of tvp.

12.0.1 undocked panels focus issue
I'm on Windows 10, using 2 displays. When I enable undockable panels, I am consistently getting an issue where undocked panels will always appear underneath the focused TVP window! On top of that, If I open for example the FX panel, it is always appearing on my main monitor but I'll never know becau...

Re: how fast do you colour?
I've also found it useful to turn off the lightning bolt / 'apply changes' icon in the layer and then go and add CTG strokes for all the frames, and then click 'apply changes' and wait for the CTG brain to do its thing, and then turn it off again and do another pass, apply changes, etc. until it's ...

Re: hot link instance copies
Is such a scipt panel available somewhere? Screenshot 2024-07-22 144140.png It exists in side of the Handy Custom Panel managing instances section known as "apply current content to instances with same name" first you must "realise instances" by doing some form of renaming them,...

Re: hot link instance copies
TVPaint already supports this function but it must be initiated manually via a custom panel script.
I agree that having automatic linked instances update would be a great step forward, glad to see greasepencil recognize this and clip studio has always had this from the start as well.
